Walk-behind roller RD7

Walk-behind roller RD7: Achieving the perfect work results with ease

The RD7 walk-behind dual-vibration roller delivers excellent performance in both soil and asphalt compaction - thanks to the optimally integrated frequency and two vibration stages. As a result, the roller is characterized by its ergonomically arranged operator controls, such as, the engine rpm adjuster attached to the center pole. Even the easy, tool-free access to all service points makes the RD7 a simple and economical solution for every construction site.

Walk-behind roller RD7 controls on the guide drawbar

All control elements are located directly on the guide handle

  • The operator has complete control of the machine at all times from his operating position and does not have to move around the machine. This means more safety and comfort.
Walk-behind roller RD7 engine speed adjustment directly on the drawbar

Engine speed adjustment for engines with three positions (Off, Idle, Full Throttle) directly on the guide handle

  • To start and stop the machine, the operator does not need to leave his position – he has all control elements directly within access. The gas lever is also fixed at three positions, which makes operation very easy and does not require any special experiential knowledge.
Walk-behind roller RD7 visibility fill levels hydraulic oil and water

Good visibility on fill levels

  • The hydraulic oil level can be easily read at any time through an inspection window. Refilling is possible without dismounting the steel frame. The water tank level is visible at any time from outside through the slightly transparent tank material.
Walk-behind roller RD7 ergonomically shaped handle

Ergonomic handle and travel lever with recessed handles

  • The ergonomic design of the travel lever and guide handle makes guiding the machine convenient.
Walk-behind roller RD7 adjustment vibration levels

Two vibration stages for various subbases

  • To achieve optimal compaction performance on asphalt as well as on soil, the vibration is selectable in two stages: high frequency for soil compaction and low frequency for asphalt compaction. The different vibration stages are reached by changing the exciter speed.

More Features

Walk-behind roller RD7 construction use asphalt compaction

Long guide handle makes steering and turning easier

  • The length of the guide handle was chosen to provide optimum leverage. This makes turning and maneuvering particularly easy.
Illustration low hand-arm vibrations (HAV)below 2.5 m/s2

Vibration-damped guide handle with the lowest HAV on the market (< 2.5 m/s²)

  • Thanks to the HAV values below the triggering value of 2.5 m/s², the documentation requirement is eliminated for the contractor. The low HAV values and the ergonomic design of the control elements make working convenient and comfortable for the operator.

Easily accessible, sturdy hydraulics

  • The hydraulics are particularly sturdy. Due to the clearly arranged layout of the cables and the open machine design, it can be cleaned well.
Illustration economic efficiency

Protective hood foldable tool-free

  • The hood, made of heavy-duty plastic, can be folded up tool-free and offers generous access to all maintenance points. This saves time on maintenance.

Large curb clearance with only a small lateral overhang and the machine tapering upward

  • The slight lateral overhang (30 mm each side) makes it possible to work very close along walls. The tapering gives the upper mass sufficient distance from the wall, preventing damage.
